The printing of Johnston Press’s 309 titles is carried out in 10 regional print centres that are managed centrally by the Group’s Printing Division.  This increases the efficiency of the Group’s printing operations, ensuring that overall colour capacity is maximised and that individual weekly newspapers meet the needs of their respective markets, regardless of geographical location.

In addition to the group work the division has several national and international contracts and uses modern high speed presses to print a range of specialise niche publications.

Capital investment has been and continues to be a major factor in providing customers, both internal and external, flexibility in full colour and inserting for value added products.

Recent investments at Dinnington and Portsmouth have introduced triple width printing capacity giving high quality full colour and high speed for a vast range of products and formats.

We are well positioned to serve the needs of our own publishers and to offer both existing and new contract customers benefits in production techniques that will enhance their publications and grow their revenue streams.
